WAYNE Devlin, known as ‘Trafford’s Sinatra’ will hold an auction and raffle to raise money for High-Functioning Trafford at his ‘Rat Pack’ evening on December 19.

High-Functioning Trafford is a community group set up by parents and carers that provides support, advice, information and activities to anyone affected by the often hidden effects of Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism.

Wayne said: “This group can provide a lifeline to many parents and carers who struggle to make sense of the systems that should provide support to enable them to build a stable environment for their children while coming to terms with the effects of their behaviour.

“My wife Val and I know the pressure faced by many of these parents and carers and want to do everything we can to support the group.’ George Devlin, treasurer of High-Functioning Trafford said: ‘I am really pleased to share both a surname and a commitment to the group with Wayne. We have only been going since March this year and dozens of families have already joined our group. The money raised from this event will enable us to provide the kind of support and advice they can’t get elsewhere while at the same time providing activities for their children and young people.”

The Christmas Evening with Wayne Devlin is at Our Lady and the English Martyrs Parish Centre, Davyhulme Circle, Davyhulme Road, Urmston.

Tickets are £7.50 each and can be bought from Devlinbookings@aol.com or ring/text 07856 047 511 .
