IMPROVING health and wellbeing is on Trafford’s agenda and a ‘pop-up’ shop in Altrincham this November will help people lead healthier lifestyles through music, arts and crafts.
From November 5 to 9 between 10am and 4pm, visitors can drop into 104 George Street to get involved in free activities aimed at improving health and wellbeing.
Fitness assessments will be carried out by Trafford Community Leisure Trust, while taster sessions using gym equipment, complementary therapies and information about healthy eating, smoking cessation and alcohol awareness will also be available.
SCILightArts volunteers will run arts and craft sessions and facilitate discussions on mental health issues, while a pharmacy will provide support and advice.
Executive councillor for Community Health and Wellbeing, Dr Karen Barclay said: “Good mental health is crucial to our general wellbeing and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more to attend one of the sessions in Altrincham.”
