Pair charged with assisting police-killer Dale Cregan when he was on the run

A FATHER and son have been charged with assisting police-killer Dale Cregan.
Cregan was convicted of killing Sale police woman, Fiona Bone, and her colleague, Nicola Hughes, in June.
Jack Willbye, 57, of Chapel Street, Herne Bay, Kent and Samuel Willbye, 28, of Hannet Road, Wythenshawe have both been charged with conspiring to assist an offender.
They appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on September 11 and have been remanded into custody. They are next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on September 25.
The charges relate to the period between August 10 2012 and September 17 2012, when Dale Cregan, Anthony Wilkinson and Jermaine Ward were wanted by police in Greater Manchester.
In addition, a 41-year-old man from the London was arrested in Spain today, on suspicion of conspiracy to assist an offender.
The man was arrested in the Costa del Sol area and extradition proceedings are now in place for the man to be brought back to the UK.
Police say this arrest is also in connection with the period between August 10 2012 and September 17 2012.
