The BEST WESTERN Cresta Court hotel in Altrincham has launched its new electric car recharging point.

The hotel will offer free car recharging to its conference and event delegates, hotel residents and anyone using the bar or restaurant (minimum spend of £10).

BEST WESTERN UK now have 70 of the charging stations - which allow eco-friendly electric car owners to charge up their car’s battery by plugging into the latest, future-proofed power point – installed at its UK hotels.

Working alongside Zero Carbon World (ZCW), a green charity committed to reducing the UK’s carbon footprint, bosses at the company have pledged that its ‘green’ campaign will roll out to include half of its 270 hotels by September this year.

Charles Roberts, spokesman for Zero Carbon World, said: “BEST WESTERN’s initiative and installation at hotels such as the Cresta Court is a massive thumbs up for electric cars.”

Hotel general manager Paul Hindley said: “This is another exciting addition to the range of services we offer to our customers.”
