ALTRINCHAM Grammar School for Girls, part of the Bright Futures Educational Trust, is celebrating its best ever year for A Level results.


The pass rate from A* to E is 100%, and 93.7% of all examinations taken were graded A*-B. A remarkable 57 girls (just over a third of the cohort) achieved A* or A in all subjects. 7 students passed 4 or more subjects at A*: Deryani Gajjar, Luma Khasati, Ruohua Li, Rebecca Markham, Lily Maxwell, Sreya Saha and Rachael Stephenson.


Students have also had stunning success with university entry, with 18 girls accepted by Oxford and Cambridge.


Mary Speakman, headteacher at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls said: “Yet again our results are outstanding and we are incredibly proud of our girls. We are delighted with these remarkable results which position us as one of the best state schools in the country. The staff and governors congratulate our students on their hard work and commitment and wish them every success in the future.”


These results position the school as one of the very best state schools in the country.
