THE South Trafford-based Elmscot Group of day nurseries and School’s Out clubs, recently sent their chefs to the Vegetarian Society’s Cordon Vert Cookery School.
Stephanie Molnar, co-owner of the Elmscot Group. said: “It’s important to ensure we offer excellent vegetarian alternatives for children when preferred and that these meals meet nutritional guidelines.
“Alex Connell, the principal tutor at the Cordon Vert school, was able to personalise the day’s training to our specific requirements.
“We really enjoyed ourselves – his cookery demonstration was a revelation and we managed to create around 12 inspirational meals designed for children.”
The Elmscot Group has 10 childcare settings in the Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon and Timperley areas caring for nearly 1000 children.
