SAINSBURY’S in Altrincham has named Headway as its charity of the year.
The supermarket has formed a two-year partnership with the leading brain injury charity to support its fundraising.
Headway provides support to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as informing professionals in the health and legal fields.
Andy Island, store manager at Sainsbury’s Altrincham, said: “It is clear that Headway does an excellent job in supporting people affected by brain injury.
“We are honoured to be able to help such a worthy cause.”
A donation drive will be held at the Sainsbury’s Lloyd Street store on July 20 between 8am and 5pm.
The charity will have a donations bin in the store for the duration of the partnership.
Gill Horner, manager of the Headway charity shop on Regent Street, said: “This association with Sainsbury’s will help us to raise our profile in the local community.”
