Paul Goggins MP visits Neil Cliffe Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital
8:00am Sunday 28th July 2013 in News
MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East, Paul Goggins, visited the staff, patients and volunteers at the Neil Cliffe Centre, based at Wythenshawe Hospital – and even helped plant some wooden memorial flowers.
During the visit, Mr Goggins was shown the display of St Ann’s memorial forget-me-nots, which patients and families have dedicated to loved ones in aid of the charity.
The MP was greeted at the centre by its founder Neil Cliffe, as well as chief executive, Jayne Bessant, and other clinical staff and discussed how the services offered can help his constituents.
Mr Goggins said: “This was an inspiring visit. Patients and carers are at the heart of all that happens and I was impressed by the way the services are linked together.
“The Neil Cliffe Centre is a real gem, brilliantly run by St Ann’s Hospice and right at the heart of Wythenshawe Hospital.”
