COMMUTERS are facing major traffic delays in Sale this morning.

A collision between a bus and a car between Dane Road and Dargle Road resulted in Cross Street being closed.

It took one commuter more than an hour to make a one mile journey from the Manor Avenue area in Sale to Dane Road in Sale.

The crashed vehicles are being moved now and traffic is now moving.

Manor road to dane road is 470 yds,Did you mean Manor avenue?

You don't say that the reason there was so much disruption is that there were roadworks on the A56 and also at two points up Manor Avenue making it virtually impossible to avoid the blockage. Is there any reason the A56 is being dug up during the week again?
