Wythenshawe and Sale MP encourages students to sign up as 'life savers'

Forty students at Sale Grammar School signed up to be bone marrow donors after hearing Mr Goggins talk as part of the Anthony Nolan Register and Be A Lifesaver programme
PAUL Goggins may be more used to speaking on the floor of the House of Commons.
But the MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East recently used his verbal skills to boost a national charity’s potentially life saving campaign.
Forty students at Sale Grammar School signed up to be bone marrow donors after hearing Mr Goggins talk as part of the Anthony Nolan Register and Be A Lifesaver programme.
A total of 48 students attended the event at SGS after hearing the story of Sale man Martin Solomon.
The 20-year-old has Hodgkins Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer, and is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant.
