KATE Green, MP for Stretford and Urmston, is encouraging schools, youth groups, and pupil referral units to book pet education talks with Blue Cross.
Blue Cross runs educational workshops for young people across Manchester.
The workshops for children of primary school age, on a variety of subjects on pet care and staying safe around dogs, and special workshops called RESPECTABULL, which are aimed at young people aged between 11 and 25, and aim to stimulate debate and discussion around issues of responsible dog ownership, antisocial behaviour and the law.
Ms Green said: “These workshops can go a long way towards helping to deliver crucial messages about safety and responsible dog ownership, and encouraging the responsible pet owners of tomorrow.
“Blue Cross workshops are free and can be booked online. Visit www.bluecross.org.uk for more information.”
