Can you help Sale Wombles tidy up town?

SALE Wombles will be having their spring litter pick on March 30, meeting at the gates of Worthington Park, Broad Road at 10am.

They need up to 30 volunteers to join the regular volunteers to clean up regular grot spots in Sale town centre and we will do a sweep of Sale Water Park before the undergrowth hides all the litter.

The event will last two hours. In October they collected more than 30 large bin bags of litter from around the town centre.

Organiser Will Jones said: “I am really looking forward to our first litter pick of the year after many shop keepers in Sale agreed to put up posters to publicise our event.

"It’s heartening to see litter picking really taking off in Trafford with new groups the Timperley Tidiers and Urmston Wombles setting up groups in the past month.”
