FIREFIGHTERS were called to Sainsbury’s in Timperley after a burning car was seen outside the store.

The crew from Altrincham Fire Station was called to Stockport Road at around 12.15pm on March 2.

The fire is thought to have been caused by a fault to the fuel supply of the Ford Fiesta, which set the engine compartment alight.

The blaze was out before the crew arrived and the damage was limited to the engine of the vehicle.
