11:00am Tuesday 26th February 2013 in News
TRAFFORD people with a sense of adventure are wanted to help a Messenger-backed charity achieve its fundraising dream.
Hearts and Minds Challenge wants participants for its 24 Hours 3 Peaks Challenge as part of its continued mission to raise £1m to build a school for autistic children.
The three mountains that form the challenge takes place from June 14-16 and people will be invited to climb the highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales.
Ben Nevis is the tallest of the three peaks, standing at 1,344 metres - more than 4,400 feet.
The time scale includes travelling time between the three peaks.
Hearts and Minds Challenge, based in Sale, wants to build a school that will initially cater for the educational needs of 25 children with autism and the school could be located in Trafford. *
