A SALE MOOR charity shop, Crossroads Care, has recently celebrated its first anniversary.

Crossroads Care supports the charity of the same name, which has for the past 30 years provided emotional and practical support to unpaid carers, by giving one-on-one support to those they care for so that they can take a well earned break from their responsibilities.

Crossroads Care as a charity came into existence as a result of a storyline in the 1970s television series of the same name which explored the problems faced by disabled people and their carers.

The Sale Moor shop is open to any carer that would like more information about Crossroads Care and the shop is always on the lookout for donations and volunteers.
