Trafford young people's successes to be celebrated at Waterside Arts Centre, Sale
11:44am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
YOUNG people from across Trafford will come together at Waterside Arts Centre next Thursday (February 28 7pm to 9pm) for an evening of entertainment and celebration.
Around 400 young people will be joined by family, friends, teachers and youth workers to celebrate their many individual achievements in various activities and nationally accredited awards schemes.
They will be welcomed by Trafford’s corporate director of children and young people’s service, Deborah Brownlee, who will be joined by senior officers, elected members and other dignitaries.
Entertainment for the night will feature live music and dance performances by talented artists who have been working with Gorse Hill Studios.
The Gorse Hill Studios section will include original pieces from the Manchester Camerata REmix project. This saw young artists working with Camerata musicians to rework Vivaldi's Four Seasons using their own ideas.
The young people will receive their awards from executive councillors Mike Cornes and Linda Blackburn, as well as Trafford’s joint director of children, young people and families, Charlotte Ramsden.
