STUDENTS at St Ambrose College lit up their new school for the Chinese Festival of Lights with their own oriental lanterns.
Chinese New Year celebrations, which this year fell on February 10, culminate with a two week Festival of Lights to usher in peace and prosperity.
Celebrations went right across the curriculum and daily school life.
Boys devoured delicious Chinese food throughout the week, with the serving area decorated with a paper snake to denote this year's animal: the sixth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, with those born in this year said to be enigmatic, intuitive, introspective and refined, the most calm and collected of all the signs.
