ROBBERS attacked a club steward in order to steal money and alcohol from Old Trafford Conservative Club.
Two men forced their way into the club as the steward was closing the venue at around 2am on February 13.
One of the men punched the victim to the ground and demanded he gave them money, while the other offender stole cash from the till and spirits from a cupboard.
Both men are white, one is described as around 5ft 10in tall, in his late 20s or early 30s and of stocky build.
The other is in his early 20s, around 5ft 6in tall and of skinny build.
Det Con Cherylin Allen, from Trafford CID, said: "As soon as the victim opened the door, he was set upon and punched in the face leaving him with facial injuries.
"They were aggressive and determined to get what they had come for.
"I would ask anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the robbery to get in touch."
