THE Best Western Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham has new owners - and is in line for a seven-figure facelift.

Longrose Buccleuch Hotels (LBML) has finalised a multi-million pound deal to take over the landmark building.

The new owners have announced immediate refurbishment plans that will see them invest several millions to upgrade all bedrooms and public areas.

Garin Davies, operations director of LBML, said: “The hotel has a long history within the south Manchester area and will be a great asset to our company.

"With the upgrades that we have planned it will improve the hotel’s appeal to both corporate users and people looking to celebrate weddings and other special events.”

He added: “The hotel has exceptional business potential, with its easy access to Manchester city centre and Manchester Airport making it a great choice for commercial travellers, conference buyers and leisure visitors to both Manchester and Cheshire.

"Our plans are very much to work with the hotel team and return the Cresta Court to its status as a premier hotel in the region.”

LBML owns the Mercure Dolphin Hotel Southampton, DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park, Best Western Mosborough Hall Hotel and Whirlowbrook Hall, both in Sheffield.
