Consultants and specialist nurses who run the service
A UROLOGY service for Trafford patients has relocated to new premises at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Consultants and specialist nurses have moved to a new Urology Assessment Unit, which offers the latest diagnostic and treatment services.
The service manages disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostrate and male productive organs and provides treatment for urological cancer, kidney stone disease and incontinence.
Mr Chow, one of UHSM’s Consultant Urological Surgeons, said: “As the city’s major teaching hospital it is essential that we have the best service in place to manage them.
“Our patients will be assessed and investigated by experienced staff, in new facilities with the latest equipment and furthermore we aim to keep waiting times low for this service.”
In addition, patients will have the opportunity to be seen by a urology consultant in a community clinic at Davyhulme, Firsway or Delamere Health centres.
