ALTRINCHAM District Dog Training Society (ADDTS) has managed to find a new home — just weeks after being threatened with closure.

The charity was given notice by Altrincham College of Arts, where it had been based for 17 years, due to rescheduling of staff at the end of 2012 and organisers thought it would have to close if an alternative location could not be found.

However, having asked Messenger readers to suggest a new home for ADDTs, the society is happy to announce it will now be based at Manor High School in Sale.

ADDTS chairman, Louise Platt, said: “The society are grateful to the readers of the Messenger for contacting them with suggestions and also to our current members who have been supportive whilst they searched for a new site.

“Manor High School offered the school grounds without hesitation when they heard of the situation and their commitment to the local community has meant that the society can continue to provide the excellent training that it has done for the past 60 years."
