DRIVERS in Altrincham are advised to avoid Manchester Road where possible, as traffic is currently almost at a standstill.
A spokesman for Trafford Council said this is likely to have been caused by road works on the nearby Park Road in Timperley.
A manhole cover is being replaced by BT, but this is thought to be completed later today.
