THE first in a series of cheese and wine evenings by Sale Rotary Club – supported by Waitrose at Broadheath and the Amblehurst Hotel – raised £200 towards the cost of helping medical student Kanchha Sherpa to complete his studies at Manchester University School of Medicine.
He plans to set up a health clinic for his remote home village in the Nepalese mountains.
