A MAN who screamed abuse at police during a demonstration outside Starbucks over unpaid tax issues was given a conditional discharge by Manchester magistrates.

After entering the coffee house in the city centre, Shayon Shakeri, 19, swore at officers and refused to leave the premises.

“The situation spiralled out of control,” said prosecutor Subhanur Chowdhury.

Shakeri, of Ashstead Road, Sale, pleaded guilty to using threatening and abusive behaviour on December 8. He had nothing to say in court.
