What's lurking in your food?

A NEW “Be Food Smart” campaign to expose “hidden nasties” in food has been launched in the north west.

Change4Life teamed up with ITV for an “ad takeover” during Coronation Street on January 7 and featured graphic adverts revealing the unhealthy secrets of everyday foods.

Public Health Minister Anna Soubry said: “This new Change4Life campaign offers families free healthy recipes and money off those much needed cupboard essentials.”

The campaign includes offers on healthy products from Asda, Aldi and Co-Operative Food stores and those who sign up will receive a “Food Smart Meal Mixer” featuring healthy, low-cost recipes for families.
