Sale volunteers reach fundraising milestone

A GROUP of volunteers has been celebrating after achieving a fundraising milestone.
The Sale Fundraising Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care tipped the count machine over £25,000 - providing a total of 1250 hours of specialist care.
The group meets every other month and has raised money from a number of activities over the past four years, including supermarket collections, organising stalls at fetes, a ladies lunch and a 2013 calendar containing pictures of Sale.
Anne-Marie Wynne, community fundraiser, said, ‘The volunteers who are part of Sale fundraising group are just wonderful, we are so grateful for their support and the funds that they raise make a huge difference to the lives of people in Trafford, allowing them to be at home in their final days."
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides specialist home nursing care for terminally ill patients in their own homes.
