Trafford men plead guilty to using threatening and abusive behaviour

POLICE driving through the city centre saw 21 year old David Hulme thump a man in the face for no reason.

And his friend Michael Allan, 26, appeared to be 'egging' him on and was 'jumping up and down', Manchester magistrates heard.

The men pleaded guilty to using threatening and abusive behaviour on August 27.

Hulme, of Redbrook Road, Timperley, was given 110 hours unpaid work and £200 costs.

Allan, of Barlow Road, Altrincham, was given a community order to attend a control of violence for angry drivers programme - and £300 costs.

Prosecutor Tess Kenyon said both men had been 'the worse for drink' when police spotted them causing a disturbance on Portland Street, at 4.15am.
