A WOMAN has suffered permanent vision impairment after being attacked in Urmston.

a 27-year-old woman was assaulted outside O'Sheas, on Railway Road, Urmston, when she was dragged to the ground.

She was subjected to a violent attack and was kicked repeatedly about the head and body.

She suffered injuries to her face, head, eye, arms, legs and body.

As a result of the assault she initially lost sight in her right eye. Her vision has started to return however she will never fully recover her sight in that eye.

Two girls both aged 17 and two women, aged 19 and 24 were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed until January 2013, pending further enquiries.

Det Con Simon Johnson, said: "The victim was assaulted on the street after enjoying a night out in Urmston with friends and subjected to a unprovoked and violent assault.

"She has suffered some serious and life changing injuries and I want to hear from anyone who saw what happened or knows who is responsible to come forward."

The incident took place at about 3.15am, on Sunday, December 2.
