THE Breathe Clean Air Group (BCAG) raised £1,500 at its recent band night, which will go towards its ‘fighting fund’.
The group is now only £2,000 away from its £12,500 target, which will cover the cost of having legal representation at the public inquiry which concluded last week.
The decision made by the inquiry inspector will determine whether Trafford Council’s decision to refuse Peel Holdings planning permission to build Barton Renewable Energy Plant will be overturned.
Acts that performed on the night were: The Rainband, Strangefish, Anne Marie Johnson, Sean Ryan, Tommy Lannon and Peter and Mark McCann.
Lyn Davies from BCAG said: “The Breathe Clean Air Group is very pleased with the level of support that they have received throughout their campaign and for the fundraising events that have taken place recently.”
She added that people interested in future events, such as the Grand Christmas Draw, should visit breathecleanairgroup.co.uk.
