A WORLD record was broken at Old Trafford football stadium, with staff from the newly opened Stretford Tesco Extra dancing the longest distance ever in a conga line.
Joined by their colleagues from the new Salford store, the Tesco employees congaed 3.5 miles to smash the previous record of 0.4 miles.
To further get into the festive spirit, all participants were dressed as Father Christmas.
The conga challenge was in aid of the Manchester United Foundation, which aims to motivate and inspire future generations to build better communities.
Store manager, Dominic Carey, said: “I am very proud of my team, they have done a fantastic job to break the world record. It has certainly been a difficult but fun challenge, it’s not every day you see Santa congaing down the road!”
