A GROUP of darts players from the Stretford & District 501 darts league are putting their team loyalties aside to raise money for the Afghanistan Trust.
They will be donning Christmas fancy dress and taking part in an 12-hour sponsored darts marathon.
The marathon will take place at Rileys Snooker Club in Broadheath, from 11 am on December 8.
The idea is the brainchild of League Secretary Chris McGrory and he is being helped to organise and promote it by competition organiser Mike Cunningham.
The other players taking part are Steve Foster (Rileys Altrincham), Darren Buckley (the Quarry Bank), Dan O'Donnell (Rileys Chorlton), Lee Maybury and Toni Wieczorek (the Winston C.C) Anthony Eno (the Volunteer), Mandy Smith, Jack Hazelwood, Stuart Moss, Andy Hackett and Pete Perry (the Greenbrow SC).
