A CANCER charity launched in memory of a Bowdon girl has 'come of age'.
Friends of Rosie Children's Cancer Research Fund has raised a staggering £2m for research into childhood cancers, since being set up in 1991 in memory of five-years-old Rosie Larkin.
Recently the group held its annual Christmas coffee morning on November 9 at the Bowdon home of Sarah Leggate - who has supported the charity from the start and has helped to raise £60,000 towards the total.
Those attending the get-together included Bowdon resident Kaye Gardner who was recently awarded an MBE for her services to charity. She recently went to Buckingham Palace to receive her award.
