Police Crime Commissioner election - important deadlines

TRAFFORD residents wanting to vote in the Police Crime Commissioner election on November 15 should be aware of two upcoming deadlines.

The deadline for applications from anyone who has not yet registered is midnight on October 31 and the deadline to request a postal vote is 5pm on the same day.

Application and postal vote forms can be downloaded from trafford.gov.uk/elections, requested by emailing elections@trafford.gov.uk or by calling 0161 912 4259.

Local Returning Officer for Trafford, Theresa Grant said: “People do not have much time now before the deadline for registering to vote or requesting a postal vote in the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner election.

“Registering to vote or requesting a postal vote is simple and straightforward so I’d urge eligible Trafford residents who haven’t already done so to contact our elections team.

“We don’t want people to miss their chance to vote in this first Police and Crime Commissioner election.”
