Doris to Give Interfaith Lecture

DORIS Angel will give Altrincham Interfaith Group’s Alf Keeling Memorial Lecture this year.

Her subject is 'Reconciliation after the Holocaust: one Family's story'.

She escaped Nazi Germany in 1936 and settled in Manchester.

Seventy two years later she received a letter from the 'Loewenstein Research Association'.

This was a group of German citizens who wanted to honour the contribution that her father, Felix, and uncle Artur had made to their town - Mössingen.

Doris will share a part of this remarkable story and the relationship that she and those citizens continue to nurture.

The lecture will take place at St Ambrose Preparatory School Hall, Wicker Lane, Hale Barns at 7:30 on November 7. Everyone is welcome and tickets are not needed.
