The charity Christmas card shop at Altrincham Library.
THE annual pop-up charity Christmas card shop is about to open at Altrincham, Sale and Hale libraries.
The shop raises vital funds for Trafford based and national charities under the banner of the Combined Charities Christmas Shops Association.
Started 40 years ago by Sheila Hallas MBE, the CCCSA has raised more than £4 million for participating charities.
Marjorie Ashworth of Cancer Research, one of the charities involved said: “The CCCSA does a great job for us, raising both money and awareness in these difficult times.”
All the shops are staffed by volunteers and sell seasonal stocking fillers and wrapping paper as well as Christmas cards.
* The shop at Altrincham Library is open from November 3 to December 1, the shop at Sale Library is open from November 10 to December 8 and the shop at Hale Library is open from November 12 to December 10.
