Meadway Singers royal date

MEMBERS of the Meadway Singers and Meadway Youth choir will be joining 1250 singers from Ladies, Male Voice and Mixed Choirs in Festival of Brass and Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, London. on Saturday (November 3).

They have learnt 16 pieces by heart, six of which will just be for ladies choirs, and will be accompanied by The Cory Band, the Grimethorpe Colliery Band and the Royal Albert Hall organ.

The event is held every three years and last time it raised more than £150,000 for Cancer Research UK. This year organisers want to smash that figure.

Six hundred singers, including Meadway, will perform again the following day at the Scoop More, London. This time they will be accompanied by the Regent Brass Band and, again, funds will go to Cancer Research UK.
