STRETFORD and Urmston MP Kate Green met with activists and women’s organisations, pictured, who were attending a lobby of Parliament organised by UK Feminista.

The activists were asking MPs to take action on several important issues affecting women across the UK. These include justice for women seeking asylum, defending the abortion time limit, investment in childcare, and ensuring schools play their part in ending violence against women.

Ms Green said; “I was happy to help Feminista to organise this event. It was great to see so many MPs, activists, and women’s organisations taking part in the lobby, and raising such important issues.

"I know how important childcare is to my constituents. Good quality childcare’s vital for child development, and to enable parents to go out to work.”
