A big screen first for Trafford
6:00pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012 in News
TRAFFORD is set to be the location for a big screen first.
On Friday (October 26) the country’s first permanent drive-in cinema will open on Mosley Road in Trafford Park.
The new cinema will have space for 55 cars and the new James Bond movie SkyFall will be among the films visitors will be able to enjoy on a 12 metre high, 25 metre wide screen.
In keeping with the spirit of the Halloween season, the new facility will open with a showing of the supernatural horror Sinister and, for children, the animated comedy Hotel Transylvania.
SkyFall will be screened from November 9 at the Route 66 Drive In Cinema, which will hold three screenings a day from 6pm to midnight.
The screenings will be held seven days a week and tickets will cost £18 a car, regardless of the number of people in the vehicle.
Visitors will also be able to eat freshly made popcorn and hot food including pizza, burgers and chips delivered directly to their cars.
