Nobel Prize winner from Sale receives knighthood

SIR Andre Konstantin Geim, a professor of physics at the University of Manchester, was awarded a knighthood for his services to science.
Sir Andre, who lives in Sale, won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2010.
