Do we need bodyguards on the trams?

SO the Metrolink has numerous police and safer Trafford Partnership resources patrolling it! Where were they when Julie Pickford was so brutally atacked?

What kind of a world are we living in when a woman cannot travel home safely after a night out.

I have work colleagues who have teenagers that have been attacked on the Metrolink. So please please do not tell us that the Metrolink is safe to travel on.

Has the time come when we need a big strong bodyguard on each carriage?

Should the parents of these low life teenagers be held to account. I expect there are many people who think so and are just as outraged as me by this disgusting behaviour.

My best wishes go to Julie and hope that she gets well soon.

Ann, the police and the safer trafford partnership were probably getting ready for a meeting with councillor lamb who witnessed the attack but did nothing to help stop it.

regards

Get well soon Julie.

Perhaps people need to start boycotting the tram until something is done about this. I have switched to using the train from Altrincham, which is cheaper and has the security of a Guard on every train. If Northern Rail increased the frequency to 2 an hour it would win hands down over the tram!
