Personal Overview - From a legal background, joined Taylor Son & Co Solicitors in 1980, latterly becoming Taylors, advancing to Senior Partner, eventually selling the practice in 2006. As a Notary Public, he is also qualified to authenticate documents for use abroad. Politically, he achieved election to Parliament at the 4th attempt, due to a combination of seat selection and the general high tide of Labour support in the country during the Blair years. His political interests include small business and small Government.
