NEVER having been able to master the art of ice skating myself, I have a certain admiration for those who can.
On the other hand I have no time for those supposed amateurs who take to it like a duck to water and then show off. Ray Quinn, you know who you are!

Yes, the X-Factor loser turned up in the new series of Dancing on Ice (ITV1, Sunday) and skipped around like a professional with an irritatingly smug expression on his face.
I could relate so much more to the real beginners, like Todd Carty and Donal McIntyre, who stumbled around exactly like people who had never skated before.
Both survived the first skate off, however, as former Chelsea footballer Graeme Le Saux was given the boot.
The line-up for this year's series is a little short on real stars, but then A list celebrities would probably have more on their plates than being able to dedicate months to practising on an ice rink.
There is a big 'soap' brigade with Ex-EastEnders Todd and Gemma Bissix, while Emmerdale is represented by Roxanne Pallett and Hollyoaks can boast a former star in Jeremy Edwards.
On Saturday the girls will skate for the first time, so we will get the chance to see who is best at being hauled around the rink by the male professionals.
This is my main beef with this competition - it really isn't fair on the men, who have to lead and lift their partner, while the girls just get to be carried around. Hence, in my eyes, Chris Fountain was the real winner of the last series.
Finally, welcome back to The Hustle (BBC1, Thursday), which proved that well acted, well written drama will always beat reality TV hands down.
More of the same, please!
