Preview - Go Lebanon, Saki Bar
SPORADIC mania and spasmodic hostility; here come the the multi-faceted seven piece Go Lebanon.
Their sets contain post-rock agitation, steely intermittent distortion compounded with melancholy intervals.
There is more than just doom here, and their description as a jazz-punk band notes an absurd leaning toward an abstract approach; two drum kits and a trombone-playing vocalist marking the desire to be different. Three guitarists, the bassist and second drummer exchange instruments with ease and fluidity but the epic (i.e. lengthy) tracks are stabilized and yet disrupted by a common force - a break, a change of pace, tempo or style. Confusing and inspirational outfit, still on the up.
