HATS Theatre Group is planning a take on Agatha Christie
for its next production.
It’s called Agatha Crusty (pronounced Croosty) and the Murder,
Mystery Dinner.
Geoffrey and Caroline Robertson are hosting a murder/mystery dinner to celebrate the success of his Mighty Midget Vacuum Cleaners, and, what’s more, he has invited Agatha Crusty herself to join them.
She agrees because she happens to be in the area promoting her latest book.
On the night, a bad storm hits their Victorian House, causing the river to flood and cutting them off.
Then the power fails and one of the guests is murdered.
The others, who were together at the time, are perplexed and worried.
When another murder occurs in the same way, it is no laughing matter.
Yet, since this is an Agatha Crusty murder mystery, there is plenty of humour.
There is also a genuine mystery that will keep you guessing as well as laughing.
* Agatha Crusty and the Murder Mystery Dinner is at St Hugh of Lincoln, Glastonbury Road, Stretford from March 22 to 24.
