ALTRINCHAM Creative Theatre School is hoping to tickle the audience's funny bone with two comedies this festival season.

ACT I, the junior section will be performing Panto Inc, written and directed by ACTS tutor, John Banks. Pantomime agent, Rupert Gilworthy is trying to make ends when suddenly he gets a call from London. Could this be the golden ticket he has been waiting for?

The youth section, ACT II, is to stage Melons at the Parsonage by Nick Warburton. When Frantic Jam and the Bletchworth Players become joint winners of the Barnley Operatic Group’s Festival Fair (BOGOFF) what’s to be done?

Head tutor Valerie Harris said: “After our two excellent but very challenging main productions it is nice to be producing some comedy."
