RAZOR sharp political satire is the order of the day in Yes, Prime Minister, Altrincham Garrick's next production.

Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, the scriptwriters behind the original TV series, reunited to create a stage version of the popular TV series which gently poked fun at those who inhabit the corridors of power.

Fans of the original will come face to face with their favourite characters, from PM Jim Hacker to cabinet secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby, a brilliant character whose powers of persuasion are so strong he could sell combs to the completely bald.

Paul Eddington and Nigel Hawthorne shone when they played these respective roles on the small screen.

* Yes, Prime Minister plays at AltrinchamGarrick from November 24-29 at 7.30pm, including a Saturday matinee.

Tickets are available from 0161 928 1677 or Altrincham Tourist Information Centre, Stamford New Road, Altrincham. A two ticket for the price of one policy operates on Monday night.
