The weather forecast may be rainy and grey, but BBC weather man Philip Avery livened things up during his broadcast after suffering a slight wardrobe malfunction.
Philip, who presents the weather during Victoria Derbyshire’s BBC Two show, gave viewers an eyeful more than they forecasted.
The weather report started with Avery discussed revolving storms around the central parts of the Pacific. Little did viewers know his own fashion storm was brewing.
While discussing “an awful lot of rain on the western side of Canada”, a button on the bottom of his shirt appeared to be undone.
As the forecast moved to the UK he commented “nothing quite so dramatic here”, showing off his microphone wire and a bit more through the undone button gap.
His career in the weather was forged while being in the Royal Navy.
After a four-year navy stint and getting an MBA under his weather belt, he headed to Birmingham to assist in the launch of Weather Network, a 24-hour cable channel.
He later joined the BBC Weather Centre and has been there ever since.
He’s not the only person to have suffered a fashion fail on air.
In March this year, Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid had to rush off set after her dress split open.
In 2008 Keeley Hawes gave GMTV viewers an eyeful as she popped out of her top and jockey Blake Shinn’s trousers fell down as he approached the finish line, exposing his derriere to everyone.
