Sir Tom Jones makes fun of himself in the promo for his new record
Sir Tom Jones pokes fun at his own frequent name-dropping in a short comedy film with Rob Brydon.
The singing veteran - a coach on BBC One's The Voice - laughs off his friendships with Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Roy Orbison and even Jessie J in the promo clip to plug his new album.
Brydon plays a clairvoyant in the light-hearted film for the chart star's release Spirit In The Room, which is out now.
Sir Tom has had a reputation for mentioning his celebrity pals during the talent series, prompting fellow Welshman Brydon to cut off each of his efforts to tell of his glittering friendships.
Brydon kicks it off by asking: "Does the letter L meaning anything to you?"
He replies: "Elvis, Elvis Presley - see, when I was in Vegas with him..."
Brydon interrupts abruptly: "Can I stop you there."
He then steps in repeatedly to curtail his stories.
The clip is due to be placed on YouTube tomorrow.
Sir Tom covers songs by Leonard Cohen, Richard Thompson and Tom Waits on the album.
