Sheridan Smith has revealed she would like to play Dolly Parton on screen.
The 33-year-old actress admitted she would love to portray the country singer, but joked she would need to increase her bust to do so.
“If I’d had bigger boobs I could have done Dolly Parton!” she said backstage at the National Television Awards.
Sheridan, who won best drama performance for her portrayal of Cilla Black in the ITV drama Cilla, said she is happy to continue taking other real-life roles.
I’ll play anyone,” she said. “I love doing real life. I love scripts that are factual dramas – like playing Mrs Biggs, who unfortunately passed away recently, and there was Cilla.
“People who you can research their life and get to know them and really get inside their head and that. That really gets me going. So I’d love to do more – I don’t know who.”
