Kate Hudson has said working with Bill Murray meant that she got to tick an item off her bucket list.

The actress stars alongside Bill in upcoming film Rock The Kasbah, a comedy about a washed-up music producer who takes one last shot at success with a talented young singer from Afghanistan.

Kate said of working on the film: "It was so fun, that was excellent. Bill Murray is a dream. That's like a bucket list. As someone who loves comedies, you think, 'Who's the greatest, who would be the dream? Oh, I'd love to work with Bill Murray.'

"So I got to check that one, and we had so much fun. We shot in Morocco and it was so hot, 105 degrees, but it was a blast."

The How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star said she also couldn't believe her luck at working with the film's director, Barry Levinson.

She said: "Working with Barry Levinson was amazing because he's such a wonderful director.

"There were certain days when I'd watch Barry and he'd be talking about the character and it would just mute out and I'd think, 'Oh my god, he's made Diner...' I started going through his whole... Good Morning, Vietnam... He's just one of those directors... Rain Man... Very cool, really amazing."

Rock The Kasbah is due out on April 24, 2015. Kate can be seen in Zach Braff comedy drama Wish I Was Here, in cinemas now.
